CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE SASQUATCH KIND
Welcome to the SSRG's Close Encounters Wepages. The encounters below have been culled from sources available to academia and the general public. Our purpose in researching and posting these pages is to provide you with the best available source of human close encounters with the species known as Sasquatch or Bigfoot.
Some of the strongest evidence available for the existence of this species is the continuing close encounters of the general public. In these pages you will find reports from doctors and other professionals, middle class people, the military, working poor, outdoorsmen, and women and children to include teenagers and young adults. They come from all walks of life and they have one common core experience that for the most part scared them half to death; they encountered up close and personal one or more Sasquatch.
The ability of the species to instill fear is common among those who have seen them. It's one of the reasons that drives us to research for evidence of the species existence. If you have information related to one of the sightings or you have a sighting of your own to report please contact us and we'll make arrangements to record your information.
The reports are listed geographically by state, county or other reference if known. International reports are listed by Country and geographic area if known. The SSGR uses a three tier classification system of reports, A, B and C. Only class A and B reports are listed.
For listed reports using the BFRO as the reporting database it's recommended that readers who intend to visit a reported area install Google Earth to locate new and existing reports. The BFRO now has Google Earth location data on its' website for reader use. Contact them for the downloads at www.bfro.net

***Special Notes related to this webpage. It's almost impossible to not suffer from PTSD if one has a close encounter with a bigfoot. Dr. Matthew Johnson, a licensed clinical psychologist, wrote a paper on this subject after his encounter in July of 2000 at the Oregon Caves National Monument with his family and his is report is in our Oregon reports.
